QUARANTA CONFECTIONERY INDUSTRY : NOUGAT PASSION SINCE 1924
Way back in 1924, over three generations ago, the company Quaranta 's Confectionery Industry started its history in the province of Bergamo , and precisely in Caravaggio, the town that gave birth to Michelangelo Merisi, called in fact the Caravaggio.
The founder , Antonio Quaranta and his wife Alzira , use to dedicate theirselves in handycraft nougat production and also in some other traditional typical Bergamo and Cremona sweets ones , as for example spun sugar , crunchy and a few kind of biscuits .Production was settled at first floor of his house , in Vittorio Emanuele Street , in the heart of Caravaggio 's hystorical centre . Then it has moved , by his son Enrico Quaranta in the early 70's , in a new factory . This anyway without loosing the old memory and keeping the handycraft speciality , exclusivity and care carachters that distinguish Quaranta's products ( expecially nougats ) from the beginning .
In our days the business is still managed by Quaranta's family and it continues trough the founder's nephews , Massimo and Fabio Quaranta , in an innovative 6.000 sqaured metres factory , furnished with the most efficient production and quality checks instruments .
Currently Quaranta 's Confectionery Industry obtained a strong internationality that allows his presence in all European countries and in several markets worldwide : from Canada to middle East , confirming theirselves as a continuely growing leader company in confectionery market.
